    About "Donald Morrison"

    1. Donald Morrison

As long as I can remember, I have had a passion for creativity I started playing music when I was eight years old, tooting away on a large growler in my fourth grade bottle band That lead to clarinet and saxophone throughout middle and high school Then time flew by life happening as it does, and one day I had an idea to give writing a shot I ve always had a way with words and storytelling, so I brought my fingers to the keyboard and The Infection of Ash was penned my first official short story The moment I was done writing that I knew it was going to be the next major turning point in my life I was immediately hooked and began penning out my next project another zombie horror book with animals as the lead characters Three months later I had finished writing and editing Rabid Lands It became non stop from there I was writing down ideas than I could come up with, and within a time span of three years, had completed eight novels and a short story compilation, six of those books being self published because I just wanted to have them on my shelf to be able to pass along to my children one day My fascination of genres would primarily be psychological horror, fantasy and light sci fi There are elements of drama in my stories, but by no means do I tout myself as a drama writer I have such an abundance of ideas for stories that I have found it hard to categorize my writings into one specific genre Each story is unique to its own world and is not geared to one genre I pride myself in being able to pull multiple elements for different styles together to create a story I would say that my crowning achievement would be a story that will be coming out soon, titled Revelations It s a seventy five thousand word novel about a homeless man in Los Angeles that begins having prophetic visions of the future and takes it upon himself to warn the rest of the world in any way he can Unfortunately, his means are left to the handheld cardboard and sharpie billboard that he holds while begging for change in the intersection I wrote this novel in four days a challenge to see if I could I currently live in North Hollywood, California, with my beautiful girlfriend and our furry family Franklin, our dog, and Isis, our cat You can find my works across the internet from to , and expect many books to come.
